String Quintet #2 is for two violins, viola, violincello and contrabass. Since this is the same format for a string orchestra, you would think there would be more pieces in this format. The traditional string quintet usually adds another viola or cello. Those poor bass players. Always getting shafted. They're either just supporting the "bottom" with boring bass lines or not even included. They're starting to feel a little slighted. Well, I'm here to help them and include them in a string quintet. Plus, music without low end...how can that be? "Beinhaus" is the bone church outside of Prague. I've never been there but my wife has. String Quintet #2 can also be played by a string orchestra which means it would be louder. I like loud. There are microtonal inflections used like bends, slides and vibratos. Anti-Social Music rules!
