about

We're continuing our on-again/off-again relationship with the talented and renowned Charles Waters. We're splitting the difference again, with him under our baton and us under his.

We'll be at The Stone in Manhattan as part of Charles Waters' residency, playing a new piece by the itinerant and transient Peter Hess, an encore by the transliterating and erudite Pat Muchmore, and a world premiere by Charles Waters, whom I don't really know all that well, to be honest (but he may or may not have been recently knighted).

The Stone (E 2nd St & Avenue C, New York, NY 10009)
$15/$10 (students)

We've got a concerto. We've got improvisation. We've got some exciting new players.

Program:
CHARLES WATERS - Boswijck Concerto #1 for violin, cello, bass clarinet, flute, and two pianos

PETER HESS - Voiceprint for bass clarinet and clarinet

PAT MUCHMORE - f(f(4))[Kr]5s18d1:}{:Fr.I.a-k for two violins and cello

Performed by: Hubert Chen, Jean Cook, Katie Cox, Peter Hess, Dan Lasaga, Pat Muchmore, Mick Rossi, and Sir Charles Waters himself.

This program is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council, and in part with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency. Which is basically to say - your tax dollars at work. Yeah, frightening isn't it?
